Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation's Week of Giving (formerly Volunteer Week) is an eight-day industry-wide volunteer event where teams of insurance industry volunteers provide three or more hours of volunteer service at neighborhood and community nonprofit organizations throughout the week.
Since 2001, the insurance industry, working together, has generated over 166,000 hours of volunteer service, engaging thousands of volunteers in 36 states….and growing!
If we all give together, our community impact is exponentially magnified. A $5 donation can turn into a $10 donation. $10 can become $100 and $100 can turn into $1 million.
In 2013, IICF announced the launch of the IICF National Early Childhood Education Initiative which focuses on literacy for young children, particularly those in underserved communities around the U.S. Closing the literacy gap is an IICF national priority.
IICF has partnered with Sesame Workshop for the National Early Childhood Education Initiative. You can be part of improving the future of all children by supporting this important cause.
IICF supporters have provided over 166,000 volunteer hours, serving over 150 nonprofits nationwide, and involving over 200 industry companies and offices. This industry-wide effort is truly helping communities and enriching lives!
"IICF Week of Giving provides an unprecedented opportunity for our industry to demonstrate a leadership role in the realm of philanthropy. Week of Giving encapsulates the industry's great culture of giving by providing a united means to give of time, talent and resources."
